Qualitas Construction transformed this Victorian terrace house, close to Richmond Park, into a stunning and spacious family home.

The project, which took 9 months, saw the addition of a bedroom and bathroom in both the loft and the basement. These were complemented by new living spaces and practical rooms to create a perfectly balanced house in Richmond.

The spacious new basement conversion now houses a family room, utility room and storage, as well as the bedroom, bathroom, for an ideal family space; while the addition of a study in the loft conversions creates a grown-up haven.

In keeping with the Italian clients’ roots and sensibilities, Italian fixtures and fittings, including a kitchen imported from Italy, were used for an exquisite finish.

Indeed it is the kitchen – and its new side extension – that generates the largest wow factor. The kitchen units are cleverly concealed behind sliding doors while innovative use of glass and adding the staircase to the corner of the room generates light for the rear reception room.

To complete the project, we opened out the wall from the rear reception room to the hallway to give the feeling of more space throughout the ground floor, which makes a real impact from the moment you enter the front door.
